Satisfactory server hosting, done right

Satisfactory is the first-person factory-builder of conveyors, trains and ever-growing production lines on an alien planet. A dedicated server keeps your factory running and saved even when you're offline. Pick a plan and your Satisfactory server deploys in under 60 seconds — no manual install, no command line, no shared lobbies. It ships ready for dedicated server with save management (SML mods), so you can shape the server exactly how your community plays.

We run Satisfactory on high-clock AMD Ryzen CPUs with NVMe SSD storage, wrapped in always-on multi-Tbps DDoS protection — for smooth tick rates, fast world loads and single-digit ping. We recommend around 8–12 GB of RAM, scaling with players and mods. Plans scale up to 4+ co-op.

Manage everything from a modern control panel: a live console, one-click mod & plugin installer, visual config editor, scheduled automatic backups — plus real 24/7 human support whenever you need it.

What Satisfactory needs from a server

How much RAM and CPU a Satisfactory server needs

The official wiki publishes dedicated-server hardware figures you can size a plan against.

ResourceOfficial dedicated-server guidance
Memory8 GB minimum; 16 GB may be recommended for larger saves or to host more than four players
ProcessorIntel i5-3570 or better, or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or better, with a single-thread rating of 2000 or higher
Disk12.4 GB of server files on Windows (the full game install is not required); 8 GB total on Linux

The same page notes that the server uses multiple cores but heavily favors high single-core performance. It also states that there is no 32-bit or ARM support and that a kvm64 CPU will not work on a VM such as a VPS.

Player slots and what happens past four

Satisfactory officially supports up to four players, and the dedicated server is tuned around a default player cap of four. The wiki notes there is no hard player limit on the PC release, so the cap can be raised in config, but it warns that increasing the limit may have negative effects on server stability, performance, and resource usage. It puts the theoretical ceiling at 127 players while noting that this is not practical.

Cross-store play, mods, and whether you need a second copy

The server software is free and separate from the game. It is distributed through the SteamCMD command-line client, as a tool in the graphical Steam client, or as an add-on in the Epic Games Store, available to all accounts. The Steam client route requires the active Steam account to own the game, while SteamCMD downloads the files without needing a Steam account.

Clients from both the Epic and Steam stores can connect and play on dedicated servers regardless of where the server binaries were downloaded. Crossplay covers Steam with Epic and console with console, but there is none between PC and console, and the console release cannot use dedicated servers. For Steam-to-Epic crossplay, the wiki states that Steam players must have linked their Epic account when prompted, since multiplayer runs on the Epic Online Services backend.

On mods, the modding documentation says that most but not all mods are compatible with dedicated servers, and that client players must have the same mods installed as the server to join.
