Java Edition

Minecraft: Java Edition is the original block-building sandbox, and the modding capital of the game — Paper, Spigot, Forge and Fabric power everything from tiny SMPs to huge modded networks. A dedicated server keeps your world, plugins and players online 24/7.

Bedrock Edition

Bedrock Edition is the cross-platform Minecraft that console, mobile and Windows players share. A dedicated Bedrock server (BDS) gives everyone a persistent world they can join with add-ons, behaviour packs and crossplay — no in-game host needed.

Crossplay

Geyser bridges the two Minecrafts: run a Java (Paper) server and let Bedrock players on console and mobile join the same world via Geyser + Floodgate. One community, every device, all your usual Java plugins.

FAQ

Minecraft hosting questions

Do I need Java Edition or Bedrock Edition?
Pick by device. Java Edition is the PC, Mac and Linux version and the one with plugins and modpacks. Bedrock Edition is the version on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, iOS, Android and the Windows store. If your group mixes both, choose Crossplay: a Java server with Geyser and Floodgate that Bedrock players can join too.
What are the Stone, Iron and Diamond plans?
They are our Starter, Plus and Pro plans — the names on this page, the plan names at checkout. Stone is the entry plan, Iron the most popular and Diamond the largest.
How many players can join my Minecraft server?
Slots are not licence-capped — what limits you is RAM. As a guide from our RAM calculator: on Java with plugins, Stone (4 GB) handles about 20 players, Iron (6 GB) about 40 and Diamond (10 GB) about 80; modpacks need more. On Bedrock, Stone (2 GB) suits about 10 players, Iron (4 GB) about 30 and Diamond (6 GB) about 50.
Can I install modpacks and plugins?
Yes. Java servers run Paper, Spigot, Purpur, Forge or Fabric, with a one-click installer for plugins and CurseForge modpacks. Bedrock servers take add-ons, behaviour packs and resource packs. You also get full file access over SFTP.
Can console players join?
Yes, on a Bedrock or Crossplay server. Phones and Windows can add a server by its address. Xbox, PlayStation and Switch only list featured servers in the menu, so console players join a custom server through a workaround such as a DNS redirect or a friend-list relay — our support will point you to the method for your console.
Can I switch between Java and Bedrock later?
Yes — open a ticket and we move your plan to the other edition. Java and Bedrock save worlds in different formats, so an existing world needs converting before it can move across.
How fast is setup?
Your Minecraft server is created automatically as soon as payment goes through, usually in under a minute. The login details for the control panel arrive by email.
What if I need more RAM later?
You can add RAM when you order with the Customize option, and move to a bigger plan at any time by opening a ticket. Your world and files stay as they are.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. Every plan has a 7-day money-back guarantee — if the server is not right for you, ask within 7 days and we refund you.
